Having spent many years working as a chef in the Royal Navy, the armed forces community is close to my heart. I understand how challenging it can be for ex-service members to reintegrate into civilian life, and I believe that they deserve the same rights and respect as any other citizen.
That’s why Wildsmith Photography has joined forces with the Armed Forces Covenant, helping them to provide support to ex-military personnel and their families.
What is the Armed Forces Covenant?
The covenant helps members of the armed forces community to have the same access to government and commercial services and products as any other citizen.
This support is provided in a number of areas including:
- Education and family wellbeing
- Having a home
- Starting a new career
- Access to healthcare
- Financial assistance
- Discounted services
It is a way to give back to those who have proudly and courageously protected our nation by ensuring that they are treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they served with their lives.
Forces friendly employer
By becoming a forces friendly employer, Wildsmith Photography is able to offer work to those who require employment following their service, or during their time in the reserves.
I pledge to always offer an interview to armed forces members and their families, as I understand the difficulties that CV-writing or lack of work experience may pose to members of the forces. This gives them a chance to demonstrate the excellent skills and discipline that they have developed throughout their military careers.
Whether they are looking for full-time work or something more flexible that supports their reserve commitments, Wildsmith Photography is honoured to be able to support the armed forces community wherever possible.
